when i grow up

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a writer when I grew up. Now that I'm older and wiser, I know that's never going to happen, so I've settled upon a new ambition: to be an editor.

On Sunday night I watched the film Suburban Girl, starring Buffy Summers and Jack Donaghy. Buffy plays an editor in a publishing company in New York, and though the film is not exactly in the running for an Oscar, it made me want to be a busy New York editor, living in a cramped apartment and living on takeaways, even more.

Well, writing and editing my own blog and wearing this scribbled-notebook dress will have to do for now...
